Okay. I have set "preload shaders" to "on", and now I get next to no lag, and a 20-40% increase in frame rates.

The downside is that maps take a bit longer to load. I can live with that... :mrgreen:

Bugger.

This seems to only make a difference in the afternoon. Evening play was no different. :evil:

Ok so a 12.3 Gb update- but after downloading it wouldn't start properly - just crashed at the Activison logo.

Verifying local files confirms 23 files corrupt/missing.

So now it's downloading them. 9 Gb worth of them. cheers.

Okay.

I've popped along to the Quartermaster and paid a fortune for the only MG42 listed - the "Zipper". Great, it's in the bag. :mrgreen:

When i try to assign it to a division though, the basic MG42 is greyed out and I can't select the Zipper. Not so great. :evil:

Any advice?

The standard MG42 is unlocked when you prestige the Armoured Division for the first time.
From then on, it's always available.

So I'm guessing you have progressed the Armoured Division enough.

Fixed an issue where placement matches weren’t accurately tracking and wins were counting as losses

Fixed an issue where some players would receive starting rank before all placement matches were completed

In addition to the game update pushed this morning to deactivate #WinterSiege,
we've pushed a #CODWWII playlist update to add Hardcore Kill Confirmed to the HC menu.
