Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Rumor [12:53 pm ET] - Share - Post a Comment A tweet from Marcus Sellars offers an unconfirmed rumor that the next Call of Duty game will be Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, which will be set in the modern era. Marcus is a reviewer/editor for Nintendo websites, and MP1ST credits him for previously for correctly providing scoops on both Dark Souls and Labo coming to the Nintendo Switch. He does not, however, offer any indication of where his rumor originates. Here's word:
COD 2018 is Black Ops 4 and is coming to PS4/Xbox/PC/Switch. It is set in the modern times and is boots on the ground. The Switch version will support DLC, HD Rumble and motion controls. The Switch version is also being ported by a company which is familar with COD games.
A FAQ from Activision Support has details on the special editions and the season pass for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, the upcoming installment in the shooter series (thanks VideoGamer). What they are calling the Black Ops pass will include a dozen multiplayer maps and four exclusive characters for their Blackout battle royale mode. This has sparked some controversy, however, as word that this content will not be sold outside of the pass. Question nine in their 10-question FAQ asks, "Will I be able to buy parts of Black Ops Pass content individually, like DLC Map Packs from previous Call of Duty games?" The answer reads, "No. The contents included in Black Ops Pass may only be purchased as a bundle." A separate answer explains the changes: "We’re redefining the digital content season for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 by delivering more content with more frequency. In addition to the release of Multiplayer maps, Zombies experiences, and Blackout content, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 players can also expect in-game content and themed events, creating a robust content season." Here's word on the content that comes with the controversial pass: Black Ops Pass includes: "Classified," a bonus Zombies experience, available at launch 4 Additional all-new Zombies experiences 12 Multiplayer maps 4 exclusive Blackout characters
According to Rock, Paper, Shotgun, the vanilla no DLC will release around a standard £50 but the DLC version will release around £80 which is pretty steep for a bit of wishful thinking that the game doesn't suck.
